In recognition of the difficulties faced by everyone in our community in 2020, Eliza put together a Christmas Ornament fundraiser for the local Neighbourhood House offshoot, The Townhouse.
The Christmas Ornament Fundraiser was run as a pilot program to gauge community interest in accessing opportunities to create ceramics at home.
The aims of the project were to raise $200 for the Town House, and spread a bit of community joy after the difficulties faced by our community during the extended lockdowns due to Covid.
The program was promoted by the local Neighbourhood House via social media and the packs were distributed via a contactless collection stand that was fitted with an automatic hand sanitising unit.
The community response to the pilot was extremely positive with just two respondents indicating that they had no further interest in future opportunities. There was one complaint received that there was no paintbrush washing vessel included in the pack.
The projected expenditure for the pilot was 3 thousand AUD, donated by Eliza, bringing the total community donation to approximately $3200.00 AUD.
